We are a delivery company, not a tree service selling off its scrap. The firewood we sell is cut and seasoned to burn, and every load comes out of the same two yards that supply our mulch: West Chester and Newtown Square.
What You Get for $330
A full cord — not a face cord, not a “truckload.” A full cord is 128 cubic feet of stacked wood: a stack 4 feet high, 4 feet deep and 8 feet long. That distinction matters more than any other number on this page, because the most common way to overpay for firewood is to buy a “cord” that turns out to be a third of one. A standard pickup bed holds roughly a third to a half of a real cord, so anyone delivering you a single pickup load has not delivered a cord.
- Species: primarily oak, maple, ash, cherry and hickory. There is no poplar and no pine in our firewood — those are the softwoods that burn fast, throw sparks and load your flue with creosote.
- Piece count: approximately 420 pieces to a cord.

- Delivery: dumped at the spot you choose. Our trucks stay on paved surfaces, so pick a driveway or hard standing rather than a spot across the lawn.
Firewood Pricing and Delivery Fees
A full cord of firewood in Pennsylvania generally runs $250 to $450, and the wide spread is mostly about what you actually receive — species mix, how long it has seasoned, and whether the “cord” is a full one. Our $330 sits in the middle of that range for genuinely seasoned hardwood, and the delivery fee is shown before you pay rather than added on the phone afterwards.

Delivery is billed per cord, because each cord is its own truck run. The fee depends on your ZIP: $60 in Zone 1, $75 in Zone 2, $85 in Zone 3. Enter your ZIP when you start an order and the exact figure appears before you enter a card.
Firewood is exempt from Pennsylvania sales tax
Pennsylvania treats firewood bought to heat a home as residential fuel, which is exempt from the 6% sales tax. We do not charge tax on the wood. The delivery fee is still taxable, which is why a one-cord order in Zone 1 shows $3.60 of tax — that is 6% of the $60 delivery, not of the $330 of wood. Order mulch and firewood together and you will see the tax applied to the mulch but not the wood.

Order Before the Season, Not During It
Our firewood orders climb through August and peak in October and November. The customers who wait for the first genuinely cold weekend are competing with everyone else who did the same, at exactly the point when delivery slots are tightest. Wood also benefits from sitting in your stack for a few weeks before you burn it, under cover on top and open at the sides.

Where will you put the firewood?
We dump the load at the spot you choose on your property. Our trucks stay on paved surfaces, so pick a driveway or other hard standing — we cannot drive across a lawn to reach a woodpile at the back of the property.
Do you stack the firewood?
No — delivery drops the load at your chosen spot rather than stacking it. Plan to move and stack it yourself, ideally covered on top and open at the sides so air can circulate and the wood keeps drying.
How should I store firewood?
Keep it outdoors, off the ground, covered on top and open on the sides. A top cover sheds rain and snow while open sides let wind carry moisture away. Store the stack away from your house — a woodpile against the wall becomes a home for insects, and it holds damp against your siding.
How long does a cord of firewood last?
It depends entirely on how you burn. Running a wood stove as primary heat every day, a cord lasts roughly six to ten weeks. Burning weekend fires in a fireplace or fire pit, the same cord can last a full season or more.
When should I order firewood?
Late summer or early autumn. Our orders climb through August and peak in October and November, so ordering before the first cold snap means better delivery slots and gives the wood time to sit in your own stack before you burn it.
